Our lab is excited to share that our review article, “Synergistic Cancer Therapies Enhanced by Nanoparticles: Advancing Nanomedicine Through Multimodal Strategies,” has been published in Pharmaceutics. In this work, Mohamad Sadegh Mousavi-Kiasary and colleagues highlight how nanoparticle-based systems can enhance cancer treatment by enabling targeted delivery, controlled release, and tumor-specific accumulation. The review explores innovative multimodal strategies, such as chemo-phototherapy, chemo-immunotherapy, and gene-radiotherapy, that show great promise in improving efficacy while reducing side effects. It also discusses emerging advances in gene editing, personalized nanomedicine, and the challenges of toxicity, scalability, and regulation, providing a comprehensive roadmap for the future of cancer nanomedicine.
